Who we are

Taught by the masters of the Conjunto Folklórico Nacional de Cuba

ICCD was founded in 2022 by former dancers and teachers of the Conjunto Folklórico Nacional de Cuba. Today it brings together dancers from all over Europe. We train together every month, perform Cuban folkloric dance on stage and pass on what the maestros teach us.

One company, many countries

We are dancers from more than fifteen countries. Once a month we travel to a different city, share a studio for a weekend, eat together, and go home tired and happy. What started as classes has turned into friendships across Europe. We are here to learn, to perform, and to share Cuban music and dance.

Two ways to train

Academy & Company

Academy

Everyone starts in the academy. You learn the dances in depth, at your own pace, and you can stay as long as you like, even if you can't come every month.

How to join

Company

Company members perform on stage across Europe. After at least three training weekends, the teachers decide if you join the company or stay in the academy a little longer. Members come every month and also rehearse at home.

Our show

Raíces Cubanas

Raíces Cubanas tells the story of Cuban music and dance, from its African roots to the Cuba of today. A 90-minute show with 20 to 30 dancers, live drums and singing.
